The Fair Oaks Racquet Club (FORC) has enjoyed a productive relationship with the Fair Oaks Recreation and Parks District (District), striving to maintain and improve the courts for all players. The tennis courts at Miller Park are among the most used courts in the Sacramento region, with players of all ages (from nearby communities and miles away) enjoying them. However, time, weather and constant use of the courts have created areas of concern that must be addressed by the District.
These areas are:
- Replacement of worn-out and missing windscreens;
- Replacement of outdated, inefficient, and high-maintenance lights; and
- Court resurfacing.
FORC will of course continue to assist in maintaining the courts, but we need District help to do so as these issues are far beyond what FORC can fund on its own. We are therefore requesting the input of the tennis community at large that uses the courts to show their support for the District to address these Miller Park issues.
